Rules that actually matter

  • Lowercase. Days and months are not capitalized in Spanish: "Te veo el lunes en marzo."
  • "On Monday" = el lunes. Spanish uses the article, not "on": el lunes = on Monday, los lunes = on Mondays.
  • Date format = day-month-year. 15/03/2025 = March 15, 2025. Written out: el 15 de marzo de 2025.
  • "What day is it?" → ¿Qué día es hoy? Answer: Hoy es martes.
  • "What's the date?" → ¿Qué fecha es hoy? Answer: Hoy es el 21 de junio.
